In 2001 the wedding entertainment industry was taken
by storm! The Texas Wildcats who had been the top
wedding band in New York decided to bring their talent
and experience in the wedding industry back to Ireland.
Playing a two year residency at the famous Rosie OGradys
in Times Square, this success projected them onwards
to incredible top profile weddings at The Waldorf
Astoria, The Plaza, The Four Seasons, and a St. Patricks
day concert at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. The
most interesting high profile gig in New York was
when The New York Post invited the band to play at
the celebration they hosted for the 27 lottery winners
who had won, collectively, over 300 million dollars
in the New York state lottery that year. On their
return to Ireland The Wildcats performed live on The
Kelly Show, The Late Late Show, BBC Radio and at the
Olympia Theatre.
The Texas Wildcats are without doubt the best wedding
band in Ireland. Their success lies in the energy
and musicianship they bring to the wedding party.
From the first song to the last, the floor is full
of happy people, of all ages, having a great time.
This summer the Wildcats praises were sung by The
Wedding Journal in their summer edition feature, 'The
Winners Tale.
The Texas Wildcats are famous for raising the
stakes in the Irish party scene with their combination
of musicianship, amazing vocals and their vast programme
of hit songs. It wasnt long before the dance
floor was full. The band has endless energy and the
songs just seemed to keep coming until the guests
were left exhausted.
Last year the Irish Times asked Brides, if they could
change anything about their wedding day, what would
they do differently? 90% said Entertainment.

TEXAS WILDCATS TAKE MIDDLE EAST BY STORM
The Texas Wildcats got the dream gig of a lifetime on St Patrick’s Night. They were flown first class out to Muscat [one hour from Dubai] to perform to 700 black- tie guests. The guests comprised of all nationalities from India, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan and of course Ireland. Spokesperson for John McCormick Promotions said ‘It was an amazing gig they never left the floor’. They partied to songs like The Irish Rover, The fields of Athenry, The Town I Loved so Well to Sweet Home Alabama, Don’t Stop Believing and of course the highlight of the night Galway Girl. The setting for The St Patrick’s Gala took place on the beachfront of the Intercontinental Resorts Hotel.
On the last night of their 5 day stay a banquet was thrown for the band. One of the guest speakers who gave great praise to the Wildcats performance was Colm Hatchell. Colm was flown down from the Irish Embassy in Dubai to assist the band during their stay and had great praise for the Wildcats. ‘Fantastic band, everyone couldn’t stop talking about the great night they had.’ This sentiment was confirmed by the Wildcats being invited to perform again next year. The band is starting their busy wedding season and look forward to entertaining people all over Ireland over the coming year.
